Sonia Powell

Sonia Powell is an accomplished real estate executive and a recognized expert in accommodation strategy. With a broad background in program delivery, change management, project management, and contracting, Sonia excels in office portfolio management, workplace strategy, and facilities management. She is dedicated to demonstrating how organizations can successfully implement hybrid working models to enhance the performance of their real estate assets.

Previously serving as a Director General in the federal public service and as President of a not-for-profit organization, Sonia has a proven track record of solving complex organizational problems. She has spearheaded numerous transformation initiatives across both the public and private sectors. Amid the dynamic shifts in work patterns caused by the pandemic and evolving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) expectations, Sonia understands the changing landscape of real estate investment. She guides organizations in making data-informed decisions about their portfolios and workplaces.

Sonia is an active contributor to the real property community. She has been a board member and past president of the Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) and currently serves on the CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter Leadership Council. As an experienced coach and mentor, she is dedicated to the professional development of real property professionals.
